SELFHOSTOS · CUSTOMER TERMS

Hosting, one month at a time.

Month-to-month hosting. No annual contract. No long-term commitment. No early cancellation fee.

Effective October 16, 2026

1. Your hosting service

SelfHostOS provides shared web hosting under the plan you choose at checkout. Current monthly prices are Starter $12 USD, Business $25 USD, and Professional $45 USD. Your order identifies the applicable price and resource limits. Website files, email, and databases share your account’s storage quota. Domain registration is separate and is not included.

2. Monthly billing and renewal

Hosting is billed in advance for one month at a time and renews monthly until you cancel. There is no annual or minimum multi-month commitment. By completing checkout and authorizing recurring payments, you authorize the payment method you provide to be charged for each monthly renewal at the price disclosed for your service, plus any applicable taxes disclosed at checkout. Your client portal shows invoices and renewal dates. Any price change will be communicated before it applies to a future renewal, so you can cancel before that renewal.

3. Cancel anytime

To stop the next renewal, sign in to your client portal, open Services → My Services, select your hosting service, choose Request Cancellation, and select End of Billing Period. Submit the request before your next renewal is charged. You may also contact support@selfhostos.com if you need help cancelling. There is no early cancellation fee.

With end-of-period cancellation, service continues through the period you have already paid for, then ends without another renewal. If you specifically request immediate cancellation, access may end before the paid period expires.

4. Refunds

Payments for a started monthly billing period are not prorated or refunded for unused days when you cancel. This does not limit any refund or other right required by applicable law. Contact support promptly about duplicate charges, billing errors, or a service that was not provided.

5. Account setup and domain connection

Account creation starts after your first successful payment. We send access instructions after setup succeeds. You are responsible for controlling your domain and updating its DNS records. SSL issuance depends on eligible domains and successful domain validation; a certificate may not be available immediately after account creation.

6. Acceptable use and account security

Use the service lawfully and respect other users’ rights. Do not host phishing pages, malware, illegal content, or content you lack permission to use. Do not send spam or bulk unsolicited email, attack other systems, or bypass plan limits. Keep your credentials secure and maintain supported website software. Shared hosting is subject to plan limits and available server resources. We may restrict harmful activity or suspend service to address abuse, security incidents, or unpaid invoices. Contact support to resolve an account issue.

7. Your content and backups

You retain ownership of your content and are responsible for it. Keep independent copies of your website, databases, and email. Before cancellation takes effect, export everything you want to retain: ending a hosting service can permanently remove its files, databases, and mailboxes. These plans do not include a promise to retain or restore data after termination.

8. Service and support

Contact us through the client portal’s Support section or at support@selfhostos.com. Maintenance and unexpected outages can occur. No specific uptime percentage or response-time guarantee is included in these terms. These terms do not exclude rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded.

9. Changes and contact

Updated terms will be posted here with an effective date. Material changes affecting an ongoing subscription will be communicated before they take effect for a future renewal, allowing you to cancel beforehand.
