Is a domain name included?
No. Bring a domain you own. Domain registration and renewal are separate from these hosting prices.
Which plan should I choose?
Starter is aimed at a personal website, blog, or portfolio. Business includes one managed WordPress site and two simple edits per month, plus room to host a second website. Professional includes one managed WordPress site, four simple edits per month, a monthly website health report, and room for up to three hosted sites. The edit allowance is per hosting account; additional sites are self-managed. Website traffic, plugins, and resource usage matter as well as storage; contact support if you’re unsure.
Can I host WordPress?
Yes. Choose a hosting plan, then select “Install WordPress for me” in our store and we’ll install WordPress on your primary domain after successful payment and hosting setup, at no extra hosting charge. You can also install it later through cPanel. Starter is self-managed. Business and Professional include management for one primary WordPress site, automated daily backups, and WordPress security and plugin updates. Your site’s traffic and plugins affect resource usage.
Do I need to move my domain registration?
No. You can keep your domain registered where it is and update its DNS to connect it to your hosting account. Domain registration and renewal remain separate from hosting.
What does personal technical support cover?
Ask us about your hosting account, connecting your domain, setting up domain email, or using cPanel. Open a ticket in your client portal or email support@selfhostos.com. Business and Professional also include managed care for one WordPress site and two or four simple edits per month respectively. Starter does not include managed care or monthly edits. How does email storage work?
Email uses the same total disk quota as your website files and databases. Each mailbox also has a plan-specific maximum size. The combined mailbox capacities do not increase your total account storage.
When can I buy a plan?
Choose a plan to open our secure billing portal. Pay by credit or debit card through Stripe. Your hosting account is created after your first successful payment, and account access instructions are sent after setup succeeds.
Does SSL work automatically?
AutoSSL is available in the included feature list. A certificate can be issued after your domain meets validation requirements and the server’s AutoSSL service is configured.
Am I committed for a year?
No. Hosting is month-to-month and renews monthly until cancelled. Request end-of-period cancellation before the next renewal is charged. Service continues through the paid period, with no prorated refund for a started month. See the customer terms for details.
How do I get help?
Open a support ticket in your client portal or email support@selfhostos.com. Include your domain and a description of what you need help with. Don’t send passwords or payment-card details.
Are these plans suitable for bulk email?
No. These plans are intended for ordinary website and business email use, with outgoing email limits. Mailing lists are not included.
